Who We Are

Sennett Kirk

   Prior to his 30 years at Kirk Securities, Kirk headed the trust department of Denton County's largest bank for ten years.  In this capacity, he was in charge of trust operations and investments as well as a member of the bank's investment committee and board of directors.

   Kirk graduated from SMU in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and did graduate study at Northwestern University in business and finance.  He has been actively involved in the community, having served as president of the local school board, Rotary Club, Flow Healthcare Foundation, TWU Foundation, Selwyn School Board of Trustees, and the Denton County Chapter of the American Red Cross and as a member of the Argyle School Board and lay member of theTexas State Bar Grievance Committee for six years.  He currently serves on the board of CASA of Denton County.  

   He served on the District 6 Committee of the NASD for four years as a member, Vice Chairman, and Chairman, as a member of FINRA's Small Firm Advisory Board for three years, and on the  District 6 Consultative Committee.  Kirk previously served a one year term on the District 6 Nominating Committee and is currently serving another in 2009. 

Kathy Vermillion

Kathy graduated from the University of Denver in 1971 with a BA in Mathematics.  She and her family moved to Denton in 1982.  Before joining Kirk Securities in 1994, Kathy worked in property and casualty insurance and as an accountant for a local engineering company.  At Kirk Securities, her duties practically cover the water front, everything from accounting and operations to assisting in servicing the needs of our customers.

Kathy and her husband, Barry, have been married for the past fifteen years and between them have one son, four daughters, and five grandchildren.
